Japan is very beautiful, especially in the spring with all the flowers, and in the fall the temperature is amazing. They are very cultural and all of the food is delicious. If you want to stay there for some time you are going to want to book your trip ahead because it is so popular. The best places to visit are the authentic villages with street food venders where there are not many tourists and food is a lot cheaper. The people here are also so nice and welcoming, just don't forget to take your shoes off inside someone else's house!

Chicken Yakisoba
A delicious and flavorful Japanese dish
On March 6th, I stopped by Yamato Japanese restaurant, a small restaurant on the corner of Yaraicho and Shinjuku-kuto try their Yakisoba chicken. It was around 1:30pm, and I had hoped I'd missed the lunch crowd. I wasn't expecting a line, but I definitely got one. The line at the lunch counter was about five people deep when I walked up and another five people were waiting to pay at the register, and there was only one person working in each spot. I had heard the place could get busy, but this was ridiculous… Finally, I ordered a bowl of their yakisoba chicken when I got the the front of the line. It took a little while to come out because of the lunch crowd but also because they make everything fresh when it is ordered. Once I had gotten my meal, I was ready to dig in because of how hungry I was. After my first bite, I realized it was worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and recommend it to people visiting.
When I sat down to eat the bowl, I had a feeling the chicken would be dry, it’s what I heard from some of the locals who ate there. But I saw it was moist and flavourful. I'm really glad the noodles had the flavor they did and the onions were bigger pieces- I love to be able to taste everything! The extra sause they gave me to put on the chicken was amazing and the chili flavor earned some major respect.
Overall, my experience with Yamato was positive. It was juicy and delicious. Within minutes of eating my meal, I was glad I tried it. The sauce though could have been a little less salty, or maybe it was a cooker problem. (Squinchy emoji face) I will definitely go back before I leave Japan. If anyone has any questions about the Yakisoba Chicken, or the restaurant , leave a comment to my review and I'll get back to you.
